What's Dramania Performing Arts all about..? Basically, Dramania Performing Arts is all about music, street dance and drama... oh... and having loads of fun along the way! We encouage active involvement in performing arts for young people who are serious about a career in the arts or for those students who just like to showcase their talents. Dramania Performing Arts is headed up by Artistic Director, Bryan Povey who has almost thirty years experience in the performing arts! Bryan is also supported by professional sound engineers, lighting directors, choreographers, musical directors and administration staff. So what's new? There's loads of stage schools around... Correct, there are loads of stage schools but not like Dramania! The Dramania Team, believe in giving each student the chance to shine and showcase their talents that they have learned from us. We will give each student the opportunity to work in a professional theatre environment and become the star that they truly are! Our teaching staff know how to bring out the best in our students and we promote a spirit of co-operation, maturity and confidence building. This can be seen through our shows and presentations. Today, there is an abiding emphasis on self improvement. This is fostered through enjoyable and confidence building classes taught by performing arts practitioners. We have just refurbished our Musical Department so we now have the very latest technology and audio equipment for our students. We are regularly approached by Casting Directors to put students forward for TV and film auditions. We have hired the Ellesmere Port Civic Hall (which seats around 1200 people!) for our next show. Our choreographers have supported Kylie, Westlife, David Bowie and have even acted on stage and screen! We even have our own tuck shop that sells snacks and Dramania memorabilia. We make sure that our students have nothing but fun, fun, fun along the way! But I'm a hairy guitarist...!!! Even better!!!! You could be part of our show!!!! Seriously though, if you would like to learn the guitar or can play but would like to be better at it, then why not enrol for our guitar lessons? These lessons are free to Dramania students but are chargeable for non-students.
